SAMSON AGBAKA - Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Samson Afokoghene Agbaka is a qualified and seasoned Accountant with over twenty-five years of professional experience. Samson Agbaka holds a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from Federal Polytechnic, Bida, a Master of Science (Finance and Accounting) from the Manchester Metropolitan University, United Kingdom and a Master in Business Administration (Finance & Investment) from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA); Fellow Chartered Institute of Managements Accountants, United Kingdom (FCMA) amongst other professional qualifications.

He has diversified knowledge in Operations, Shipping and Ship Management, Engineering, Accounting , auditing, taxation, risk management, credit processes, financial and business strategy, corporate governance, process engineering, facility management and project monitoring/evaluation among others. He has worked in SHELL, EXON MOBIL, and BP.

As a Chief Operation Officer, he assumes responsibility for safety, logistics and operational aspects of maintenance and engineering activities and responsible for the competence of those under his immediate supervision. He promotes safety awareness and application of company Management System, COPs and prime policies. He also ensures efficient operation of unit systems having regard for Health and safety. He takes responsibility for full compliance with PTW system, and Risk assessment and verification, Class, Flag and Port State requirements, preserving the vessels operational status.
